The project reimagined a London garden into a relaxed, meadow-inspired landscape that celebrates nature whilst accommodating the needs of two energetic dogs. The design replaces much of the existing lawn with softly planted borders that evoke the feel of a vibrant and textured urban meadow.
The planting palette features pollinator and dog-friendly species with a long flowering season, ensuring colour and ecological value from spring through autumn. Layers of perennials, ornamental grasses, and resilient groundcovers create a dynamic tapestry that is both durable under paws and rich in habitat for bees and butterflies.
A timber trellis structure with evergreen climbers, frames a central al-fresco dining area providing privacy, enclosure, and year-round greenery. Only a small portion of the original lawn has been retained, giving the dogs space to play while allowing the majority of the garden to flourish as a naturalistic sanctuary.
