The client’s brief called for a garden that would be elegant yet easy to care for, with year-round interest and a distinct Mediterranean character. The planting design is organized in defined horizontal rows, emphasizing texture, colour, and form whilst ensuring a sense of harmony and balance across the terraces.
More than half of the plant selection consists of evergreen species, providing lasting structure and foliage throughout the seasons. All chosen plants are drought-tolerant and well-suited to the sunny, urban microclimate, requiring minimal irrigation and maintenance once established. The palette includes aromatic herbs, silvery-leaved grasses, and long-flowering perennials that deliver a prolonged display of colour and scent from spring through late autumn.
